Absecon, N.J. — Three people were arrested in Absecon following a police stop that led to the recovery of drugs, weapons, and counterfeit currency, authorities said.

According to the Absecon Police Department, at about 3:00 Monday afternoon, its officers stopped a group of people in the area of Route 30 and Haddon Avenue. As a result of an investigation, it was learned that all three had active arrest warrants.

Those three were identified as 45-year-old James D. Smith of Barrington, 24-year-old Tajma D. Felder of Williamstown, and 32-year-old Brandon T. Survilo of Essex, MD.

Officials said they recovered suspected methamphetamine, suspected cocaine, drug paraphernalia, counterfeit currency, two prohibited dagger-style knives, five bundles of suspected heroin wax folds, and four additional individual heroin wax folds.

Smith was charged with forged writing, two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Felder was charged with possession of CDS.

Survilo was processed on multiple outstanding warrants.

All three were taken to the Absecon Police Department for processing and later committed to the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending initial court proceedings.

The Absecon Police Department said they remain "committed to addressing quality-of-life concerns and criminal activity through continued patrol and enforcement efforts."

The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
