Sea Isle City, New Jersey Business Shows Eagles’ Kelce Appreciation

Ever since Jason Kelce officially announced his retirement, there has been an outpouring of Eagles fans showing their love for the future Hall of Famer. From the Philadelphia area to South Jersey, all of Eagles Nation wants to let the Six-time First-Team All-Pro Center they will miss him.

The South Jersey town of Sea Isle City is among the chorus of Eagles fans that have shown Jason Kelce love this offseason. One of the business owners who is publicly thanking Kelce for being a great Eagles player on and off the field is Mike Monichetti.

The owner of Mike’s Seafood and Dock Restaurant, located on Park Road in Sea Isle City, had placed a sign back in January that said "Kelce Don't Retire, We Love You 62" in the front window of the business.  Now since Kelce retired, Monachetti ordered a new sign to show his appreciation for the Eagles Legend.

"(Kelce's retirement) was hard to watch!" Mike Monichetti told 973 ESPN "I'm putting the new sign up in front (of Mike's Seafood) to thank Kelce for the Memories, the Greatest Eagles Ever!"

For the people at Mike's Seafood, Jason Kelce is not just their favorite Eagles player, but he is a patron of their business each summer. Kelce and his wife, Kylie, own a home in Sea Isle City and they are frequently seen around town.  Monachetti has experienced firsthand that Kelce is a Hall of Fame Human Being off the football field:

"People know there are lines to get in Mike's Seafood (during the Summer). I'll go out front and I'll see (Jason Kelce) standing out front of the building and there might be 60 or 70 people in front of him in line waiting to get on the Dockside Restaurant to eat. So I'll say to him 'Let me take you around the side door, take you right up to the dock' and he will adamantly say 'No". He's just genuine, he's down to earth. He would rather stand in line, talk to people, (and) take pictures with people. He's just really amazing."

Jason Kelce Made Surprise Appearance At Sea Isle City Fundraiser

When Mike Monichetti hosted his 17th Annual Mike's Seafood Run-Walk for Autism event in February, Jason Kelce made an impromptu appearance to support the popular fundraising event.  Kelce did not sign up for the race like everyone else; Instead, he went to the start of the race and jumped right in as he discussed on his New Heights Show Podcast:

The people at Mike's Seafood in Sea Isle City were not surprised that Jason Kelce made a surprise appearance for this year's fundraising event.  As Mike Monichetti explained on "GameNight with Josh Hennig" on 973 ESPN South Jersey, the whole Kelce family has come to visit Mike's Seafood:

"Jason and his wife, Kylie, the whole family patronizes Mike's Seafood, they come in and get takeout (or) they go out back to eat at the Dock Restaurant. We just feel like we have a strong tie to Jason; His brother Travis also comes with him, his mom (Donna), everybody (in the Kelce family) comes down to Sea Isle City when (Jason Kelce) is here in the Summertime."

So don't be surprised when you see Jason Kelce in Sea Isle City this Summer, whether he is on the beach with his family, knocking back drinks at the local establishment, or grabbing something to eat from the Eagles' fans at Mike's Seafood and Dock Restaurant.
