Food Network Names This South Jersey Spot the Best for Seafood

While we have plenty of great seafood here in New Jersey, Food Network recently declared one Southern Jersey spot as the very best.

There are so many different seafood options: clams, fish, lobster, oysters, and more. No matter what you like, seafood is always great.

Food Network Highlights New Jersey’s Best Seafood Spot

According to Food Network and their recent report highlighting the ‘50 States of Seafood,’ their pick for New Jersey is The Old Causeway Steak & Oyster House at 1201 E Bay Ave in Manahawkin.

Food Network had the following to say about their selection:

Just over the bridge from Long Beach Island, The Old Causeway Steak & Oyster House is one of the best places to dig in. It serves a fantastic selection of Barnegat Light scallops, clams straight out of the bay and a selection of high-quality oysters from the East and West coasts. Those bivalves are served in a variety of preparations, starting with raw and moving on to fried and fire-roasted with shallot herb butter. And just this year, the folks behind the popular restaurant launched the first harvest of their own signature oyster.
