A fundraiser has been started to help the six children of a Mays Landing man who died in a weekend crash in Hamilton Township.

Will Bussey died in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning.

Police responded at about 12:40 am Saturday to Route 40 and Strand Avenue for a reported crash, according to the Township of Hamilton Police Department.

The preliminary investigation showed that a 2015 Cadillac XTS driven by William Bussey III, 41, lost control while heading eastbound on Route 40.

The car left the roadway on the westbound shoulder and hit several trees before coming to rest, according to police.

Bussey sustained major trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was the only person in the car and was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Man Killed in Crash Was the Father of Six Children

This is heartbreaking. Will Bussey left behind six children, ages 12 to 20.

Over the weekend, a GoFundMe was established to help with Will Bussey's funeral expenses and to offer assistance to the family after his death.

A father of six kids that he adored and loved to the end of this earth. If you knew Will, you knew his kids. That was the man he was, always had his kids with him and usually 3-4 of their friends as well, trying to provide the best childhood and greatest life he could for his children.

He was a family man!!!! He was one of the nicest human beings on this earth always had a smile on his face and could brighten anyones day.

The GoFundMe talks about how much Will loved his kids and what a presence he was in the community, helping in any way he could.

Now his family needs our help.

The GoFundMe for Will Bussey's family had collected a little over $5000 of the $25,000 goal by Monday evening.
