From Childhood Friends to Husband and Wife, NJ Pop Star Weds
This is a story of love that even the most cynical of us have to admire. While it seems like so many celebrity marriages tend not to last until "death do us part," I have to admit, I'm rooting for these kids.
Grammy winner and New Jersey native, Charlie Puth announced that he married his longtime friend, Brooke Sansone.
Talk about letting things develop organically, Puth and Brooke were childhood friends.
Brooke's father, Paul Sansone Jr, the owner of Sansone Jr's 66 Auto Mall in Neptune attended elementary school with Puth's father.
Although they've been friends since childhood, they never dated until 2022.
In 2023, Puth flew in from Los Angeles and the two got some Chinese in New York.
It was during that dinner that Charlie popped the question and Brooke accepted.
Brooke told Vogue that Charlie waited until 11:11 to propose because that was their "favorite time." How romantic can you get?
After she accepted, the couple FaceTimed their families to share the news.
The two made it official last week at a ceremony and reception in California.
Puth, being Mr. Romantic, even posted some of his vows, and wedding videos on his Instagram page.
In it, he pledged his neverending love to Brooke,
And I can’t help but realize
Today is truly the happiest I’ve been
In my 32 years of life
Some things I could not predict
But one thing has always been clear
Yes somehow I seemed to have always known
I’d be standing with you up here.
What song would you expect the newlyweds to use for their first dance of husband and wife?
Remember, they're from Rumson...
They chose Bruce Springsteen's version of Jersey Girl, which is only fitting.
