This is a perfect time of year to think about a weekend getaway in the Garden State. Yes I know it’s not beach season but now is a great time to visit some wonderful towns and maybe even save a few dollars in the “off” season. There will be plenty of time in summer for a Jersey “beach” weekend.

This time of year it’s a great time to be indoors and enjoy winter activities like museums, concerts, shows, films, shopping, restaurants, or just a nice hotel or B & B. Of course, our winters are not that brutal in New Jersey to go out and take a chilly hike.

To find some great towns to visit I simply did a Google search and found a list of great towns for a weekend getaway.
The town that has the most visitors yearly in New Jersey is Atlantic City, according to Maid in HobokenOften called the Las Vegas of the East Coast, Atlantic City is one of the most well-known coastal resort cities in the United States, full of rich history, nightlife, a popular Boardwalk and even the inspiration for one of the most famous board games in the world.”
