Did New Jersey Actors Get Robbed On This Best Character List?

Some great New Jersey actors have played awesome parts, but most didn't make a recent "best all-time movie character list".

First of all, it's very hard to come up with a list as big as the best movie characters ever. It's a brave endeavor and it's sure to get critisized from so many angles.

So, we thank the folks at Empire for putting the list together. There are some amazing characters on this list, but we love our New Jersey performers, and on their behalf, we thought there were a few that should have made the list but didn't.

First, let's celebrate the characters portrayed by New Jersey actors who did make the list. One of them is in the top 10 of all time.

Tommy DeVito. The character that lands at #45 on the list is Tommy DeVito from Goodfellas portrayed by New Jersey legend Joe Pesci.

John McLane. We are so happy to see Bruce Willis on this list, and his character John McLane from Die Hard is considered the 7th best character of all time.

We do want to add a few others that didn't make this list but would make ours for sure if we ever made one.

Miranda Priestley. It's hard to imagine this list without Meryl Streep, and her portrayal of Miranda in The Devil Wears Prada was amazing.

Colonel Nathan Jessup. We have to get Jack Nicholson in here, too. And his performance in A Few Good Men was legendary.

Vincent Vega. One of John Travolta's most incredible roles was this unbelievable character in Pulp Fiction.

Pete "Maverick" Mitchell. Tom Cruise was outstanding in the Top Gun movies, and Pete Mitchell should be on this list.
