If you've traveled along Route 38 in Cherry Hill over the past few years, you've probably noticed the old Cherry Hill Diner sitting empty.
What’s Next For The Cherry Hill Diner Site In New Jersey?

It's in such a great location, and every time I would drive past it, I wondered what would eventually take its place. I just assumed it would eventually be another restaurant or that someone would bring the diner back to life. But it's been closed since 2023, so I guess that was some wishful thinking.

Instead, I just heard the old diner is being torn down, and the property will be used to build something entirely different...a CAR WASH!

It's always sad to drive around and see vacant buildings, empty restaurants, and businesses that were once thriving, so it's nice to see the property getting a new purpose instead of just sitting empty.
But it will take some getting used to, driving in that area and not seeing that red, stainless-steel diner anymore. It was a staple along Route 38 at the corner of Cooper Landing Road for nearly six decades.

No word on when the new car wash will open.
