Another Snow Storm Is Getting Ready To Coat New Jersey
After a long week of wind, rain, snow, flooding, and a bunch of headaches it looks like Jersey is once again in for some measurable snowfall this weekend.
The only plus side to snow at the Jersey Shore is that it does look amazing when it settles in on our beaches and boardwalk.
Snow storms in Jersey bring with them a ton of issues from the roads being a mess, traffic accidents increasing, and of course, thousands of people losing their power.
Speaking of power outages, you'll want to keep a quarter in your freezer to help you determine whether the food in your freezer is good or not when your power goes out.
How Much Snow Can We Expect In New Jersey This Weekend?
Our expert Meteorologist Dan Zarrow has the full report and believes that snow will start creeping into the state on Thursday evening and the real snow accumulation will begin Friday Morning.
In Ocean County, Monmouth County, Atlantic County, and most of the inland part of the state we could see anywhere between 1 and 3 inches of fresh powder, mainly between 9 AM and 4 PM Friday.
Along the Shore, and more coastal areas Dan Zarrow reports we could see a nice slushy mix of rain and snow.
Snow should wrap up sometime Friday afternoon/evening but will leave us with some dicey roads, so be sure to take your time during the commute home on Friday.
All said and done this is expected to be a more mild snowstorm but still one to keep an eye on.
You can stay up to date with all things weather-related at the Jersey Shore with Meteorologist Dan Zarrow's weather blogs.
So yeah, we could see some snow again at the Jersey Shore this weekend, and as much of a pain it is the snow on the beach really is something!
