Ever since moving to Jersey a few years ago, following the local Jersey food scene has been something I enjoy quite a bit.

For example, just the other day I told you about Smokies Craft BBQ getting ready to open its second location in Toms River soon.

I'm also always keeping track of new trends like the Tommy DeVito pizza that was revealed at Brooklyn Square Pizza earlier this month.

Those tasty details are right here.

But nothing is more fun than learning about locally loved restaurants finally making moves to expand in Ocean County.

Beach Taco May Be Opening Soon In Toms River, NJ

Beach Taco, which is a staple on the Seaside Heights boardwalk in the summer is planning on opening a year-round restaurant off Fischer Boulevard in Toms River.

Granted, they've had the coming soon sign-up since my wife and I moved here in 2022.

However, according to Shore Beat, Beach Taco is getting ready to make moves for an opening.

Shore Beat reports that Beach Taco is set to go before the Toms River planning board to go over their application and hopefully get one step closer to opening on the mainland.

The new location, which is taking over the former Memory Lane Diner at 1165 Fischer Boulevard is planning to have a nice outdoor deck as well as make other improvements to the building, which will have to be approved by the board.

I've always believed that good things are worth waiting for, but with how good the food at Beach Taco is, this is one wait I can't wait to be over!
