Is sharing passwords, for subscription services like Netflix, dishonest?

We were having this discussion about friends or loved ones sharing their password - specifically for Netflix - and whether or not it was at lest dishonest, or at the most STEALING.

Some are saying this is one of the reasons that Netflix is increasing their basic subscription by $1, to make up for all the people who are abusing the password policy.

It definitely is taking advantage of the system in my opinion.  I mentioned that it's like a sharing a plate at a buffet. You pay for one plate, but two people are eating with it.

Also back-in-the-day, people would hook up with their friends and neighbors to 'steal cable' TV...remember that? Not...that...I...actually did that.
