Atlantic City will soon have yet another casino that offers sports betting in New Jersey.

Starting Wednesday at 11 a.m., Harrah's casino plans to start taking sports bets from the public. The move comes just two after Bally's, its sister property, made the move.

For those of you keeping track, that makes the Borgata, Ocean Resort, Bally's, and now Harrah's to offer sports betting in Atlantic City. Up north, the Meadowlands and Monmouth Park racing tracks offer the same service as well.

Even though you can now make sports bets in person, the next thing that people are eagerly waiting for is mobile/online sports betting to get approved. As of now there hasn't been any headway on that front, even though gambling companies are applying to get permission before September, when the NFL kicks off its football season.

The closest casino to get online sports betting approved is most likely the Borgata. They were also the first casino to offer sports betting back in early June.

What got all this underway officially was the state of New Jersey winning a Supreme Court case in May that paved the way for the rest of the country to offer sports betting if they choose to do so.
