Gloucester Township Police Officer Injured in Atlantic City Expressway Crash

A Gloucester Township Police officer was injured in an overnight crash on the Atlantic City Expressway.

The accident happened around midnight Thursday. on the westbound lanes near Sicklerville, where the AC Expressway meets Route 42, according to 6abc.com.

We don't yet know what caused another vehicle to collide with the police cruiser, or the identity of the officer, but, thankfully, they endured only minor injuries. The cruiser was towed away. There was no word on whether the driver of the other vehicle was hurt.

The accident caused a lane closure, but the scene was cleared by 1:30 a.m.
