Galloway Twp., NJ Police Reach Out to Community Through Coffee

Galloway Township Police are inviting residents to get to know those who serve and protect their community over a cup of coffee.

I was on my usual morning latte run when I ran into Officer Jorgensen at Starbucks on Jimmie Leeds Road in Galloway.

He was just setting up for Galloway Twp. Police's 'Coffee with a Cop' event.

I love the concept of 'Coffee with a Cop'. It's such a casual, unassuming way to connect with the local law enforcement community, in an environment that helps make residents with questions and concerns feel more comfortable.

'Coffee with a Cop' is happening until 11:30 a.m. this morning at the Starbucks at 68 W Jimmie Leeds Rd., Galloway, NJ.

I hope the Galloway Twp. Police do community engagement events like these more often. It's such a nice way for the community to express to the officers how much we appreciate what they do every day to serve and protect.
