A former Willingboro High School teacher has admitted to reportedly stealing close to $15,000 from funds paid for by students.

Burlington County Times says Reginald Lawrence plead guilty to "third-degree misapplication of entrusted property" after stealing $14,500 from students' funds meant for school activities.

The money was reportedly used to fuel his gambling addiction throughout October 2015 and April 2016.

Lawrence was arrested in April after money was found missing. Now, he's serving (basically) a year in jail for his actions. But, it appears that Lawrence acknowledges his wrongs because he agreed to forfeit his right to public employment in New Jersey. (Burlington County Times)

He will also attend state-required counseling to help his gambling addiction.
