Now that South Jersey has finally seen it's first flakes of the season, it's the perfect time to chat about snow. We already know never to eat the yellow snow, right? But, still we all knew that kid who felt right at home snacking on some of the white stuff. Well, now there is a new study that suggests you shouldn't eat any snow at all.

According to the journal, Environmental Science: Process & Impacts, snow may actually contain particles of car exhaust fumes. IFL Science says, "...any consumption of it is effectively like eating a pollution-flavored Popsicle."  Welp, that is one dessert I'll pass on.

Outdoor air pollution kills an estimated 1.3 million people each year, says the World Health Organization. Pollution in the air is dangerous to all, especially children, and is one of the risk factors for respiratory infections and disease.

Ultimately, by eating snow, you're voluntarily making a decision to eat pollution. Which, in case you didn't know, probably is not the best idea.
