Every year I feel like there is a new health craze.

Those health influencers would have you think that everything you eat is just terrible for you.

With all of the conflicting information, what should you eat?

Well...I have some great news for you...

Are you looking for a healthier alternative to your morning routine?

Ditch those sugary cereals and replace it with a nice, hot slice of pizza. This is honestly the best news I've heard in a very long time. I hear the entire state of New Jersey rejoicing all at once.

We can thank New York nutritionist, Chelsey Armer for this revelation. In article for The Daily Meal she stated, "A slice of pizza contains more fat and much less sugar than most cold cereals, so you will not experience a quick sugar crash." This is music to my ears.

Let's bring it back to earth for a moment here because let's face it pizza is clearly not the best breakfast option. Armer continued to say, "...[P]izza isn’t a health food per say; it’s certainly not your most nutritious option. But when compared with a quickly poured bowl of sugar flakes, it’s a more balanced meal."

If you are counting calories, good news! "...[The] average slice of pizza and a bowl of cereal with whole milk contain nearly the same amount of calories." Plus pizza contains much more protein, which will keep you satisfied longer.

So, that's all I needed to hear to convince me to eat cold pizza in the morning.

Here's a taste of the NJ pizza joints Dave Portnoy has reviewed

Dave Portnoy, commonly known as El Presidente, is the founder of Barstool Sports. Somewhere along the way, he decided to start reviewing local pizzerias, and the concept took off. This isn't the entire list, but it's a small sample to get you started.
