The NJDOT will be closing a portion of the Black Horse Pike in Monroe Township during the day for nine days starting Monday to upgrade a railroad crossing.

Work to upgrade the railroad crossing on the Black Horse Pike near Cains Mill Road just outside of Collings Lakes will require a detour to be posted from 7AM to 4PM from Monday, April 20th, through Thursday, April 30th.

The railroad crossing, which hasn't seen a regularly-scheduled train in years, will see new concrete poured at the crossing and the road resurfaced approaching it, according to a press release.

Eastbound traffic will be detoured at Piney Hollow Road to Route 73, then onto 12th Street/Route 54, and then back to the Black Horse Pike. Westbound traffic will do just the opposite. Access to local businesses on the Black Horse Pike will be available.
