This Saturday, June 6th at 10 a.m., CNN will air an 60-minute town hall called Coming Together: Standing Up to Racism.

It will reportedly be moderated by Big Bird and  CNN's Van Jones and Erica Hill.

Some of your kids' favorite Sesame Street characters, like Elmo, Abby Cadabby, and Rosita, will also appear alongside experts to answer questions about how to best come down to your little ones' level to address what they may be hearing about or seeing on TV.

I can't imagine how kids are trying to process everything that's going on right now. I think back to something like President Reagan being shot when I was a kid, or The Challenger Space Shuttle explosion, and those were hard enough to understand. But I never had to process things like police brutality, systemic racism, protests, and riots. I'm really glad to cast of Sesame Street will put these topics in words kids can relate to.

How are you talking to your kids about racism? Let us know in the comment box below.
