The popular retail chain Claire's is recalling it's makeup following recent claims products may contain a hazardous chemical.

The recall comes after reports that a consumer had tests run on the Claire's cosmetics in her own daughter's collection, which turned up positive for asbestos, a chemical known to cause cancer, MSN.com reports.

The woman, who incidentally works for a law firm specializing in asbestos litigation, sent the samples to Scientific Analytical Institute in Greensboro, N.C., which found traces of the agent in one of Claire's glitter makeup kits. Other samples allegedly tested by the lab also showed asbestos, including eye shadows, blushes, and powders.

According to asbestos.com, asbestos exposure in any form of asbestos can lead to serious health conditions, including lung cancer.

Claire's has since pulled a slew of cosmetics off it's shelves. You can view a full list of recalled products here.
