Child Killed by Falling Tree Branch at South Jersey Campground

The holiday weekend turned tragic when a 3 year-old girl died after being hit by a falling tree branch while camping with her family in South Jersey.

The incident happened early Saturday afternoon at Yogi Bear Jellystone Park in Elmer, Salem County.

The branch reportedly fell on the tent the child was sitting under.

She was taken to a nearby hospital where she later died, according to 6abc.com.

There are no reports on how many people were camping with the little girl at the time.
