Back in 2007, way before there was even an Avengers movie, Warner Brothers and DC Comics had talks about a Justice League: Mortal movie.

The script has actually leaked online. It is over 100 pages long, so you can check out Michael J. Petty of superheromoviesnews.com review of the script if you don't have the time.

Petty says, "Among the actors casted as the Justice League there was D.J. Cotrona as Superman, Armie Hammer (the Lone Ranger) as Batman, Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Common as Green Lantern, Adam Brody as The Flash, Anton Yelchin as The Flash (Wally West), Santiago Cabrera as Aquaman, and Hugh Keays-Byrne as Martian Manhunter. Other actors included Jay Baruchel as Maxwell Lord, Zoe Karzan as Iris West-Allen, Teresa Palmer as Talia al Ghul, and Stephen Tobolowsky (yes the guy from Groundhog Day) as Alfred Pennyworth."

Petty says the movie would have taught us how to trust people, how to be a hero, and is a "social commentary about helping others." Imagine what it would have been like to see all of these stars on the big screen starring as your favorite superheroes. It probably would have been epic.
