Carson Wentz Proposes During Romantic Rooftop Night at Castle

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz didn't let his knee injury get in the way of getting down on one knee to propose to his girlfriend Monday on a candlelit rooftop at a castle...and she said "yes".

The night after the Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl, its injured quarterback, Carson Wentz proposed to his girlfriend, Maddie Oberg, at CastlePost, a famous Kentucky castle. Oberg said yes, continuing a week to remember for the 25-year-old Eagles quarterback.

Oberg is from the Lexington, Kentucky area.

“She said YES! And now Maddie and I both got us a ring,” Wentz said in a tweet, posted early Tuesday afternoon. “Can’t wait to marry my best friend! God is doing some amazing things and I can’t thank him enough.”
