The return trip home for some students in South Jersey took a hairy turn as two buses were involved an accident with dozens of minor injuries reported.

The Atlantic City Board of Education confirms that the accident that happened around 2:30pm Tuesday afternoon outside the Richmond Avenue SchoolThe Press of Atlantic City reports that three vehicles were involved in the incident - one bus which struck a van, which in turn collided with another bus.

Traffic was diverted around the scene of this accident, multiple injuries have been reported (as many as 25 people according to Action News on 6 ABC - The Press of Atlantic City reports 22 injured), no names have been released, no reports on how many students were among the injured, and no injuries have been reported as severe (most are head and neck injuries).

The injured parties were sent to 3 different area hospitals, and the school was used a triage area to help with the injuries before the wounded were shipped off.
