Brooke Attempts to Clean Out the Break Room Fridge After a Year [VIDEO]

Amid the pandemic, many employees have moved to a work-from-home scenario. But, radio is different. We've largely been in our studios since the very beginning of COVID. And that means basically a ton of break room refrigerator leftover that no one ever came back for and never got thrown away.

The fridge began to just permeate rotten smells throughout the station, and the Brooke & Jeffrey morning show team decided SOMEONE had to take the bullet and clean it out.

To determine who the unlucky fridge-cleaner would be, the team played a game of Credit Card Roulette. Each person put one of their credit cards into a bucket, and everyday one got removed. If your credit card got pulled, you were safe. The name on the last credit card had to tackle the fridge. That ended up being Brooke.

Watch as a teary-eyed Brooke puts on a pair of rubber gloves and gets down and dirty in the company fridge live on the air.

Soggy pasta? Check. Mold-covered yogurt? Check. Wilted and spoiled salad? You betcha. More science experiment than edible food? Totally. Hey, better Brooke than us.

What a bummer. Hope no one wants their food storage containers back, because they're on their way to the dump. Brooke deserves a day off after having to take one for the team like that, lol.
