Imagine zooming from earth into the sky reaching speeds of 128 mph.  You're 45 stories above ground enjoying one of the world's tallest and fastest roller coasters, when BAM!  A bird flies into your face.  That's exactly what happened to one rider recently at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey.

12-year old Shane Matus was riding Kingda Ka when a bird in mid-flight smacked him in the face.  Matus was taken to an area hospital and treated for minor injuries to his face and neck.  The ride was shut down for about 30 minutes.
