I consider it that much more exciting when the Garden State is used for an A-lister's project because it usually means millions of eyes will see it once completed.

And who is more A-list than Ben Stiller!

Did you know that part of a very popular Ben Stiller television show was filmed right here in Monmouth County?

The show is called Severance and it is currently available on Apple TV.

Ben Stiller directed this thriller series alongside Aoife McArdle and the plot is something you will probably be able to relate to.

Here is the premise of the series according to IMDB.com:

Mark leads a team of office workers whose memories have been surgically divided between their work and personal lives; when a mysterious colleague appears outside of work, it begins a journey to discover the truth about their jobs.

Freaky yet intriguing...I must say....

Filming for this project mainly took place in New York and New Jersey - and one of the major series' locations is actually a Monmouth County hidden gem.

You know the Lumon Industries company building in Severance?

Well, it is actually the iconic Bell Works building in Holmdel!

LOOK: See America's 50 Best Beach Towns

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.
