A Gloucester Township man known for his love of cats was reportedly mowed down by a woman from Atco as he walked down the Black Horse Pike.

55-year-old Charles Beehler was hit around 11:30 a.m. on April 30th near the Foxcroft Apartments where he lived by a woman who was allegedly under the influence at the time of the accident, according to Courier Post.

35-year-old Dana Harper has officially been charged with driving under the influence of narcotics in connection with Beehler's death, Philly.com reports.

Friends of Beehler stepped in to help his six pet cats find new homes by launching the page Save Charlie's Angels NJ on Facebook. Three are reportedly still awaiting adoption.
