President Obama, VP Biden, The First Lady, Dr. Biden and the White House staff observe a moment of silence to mark the 12th anniversary of the 9/11 Attacks at 8:45 a.m.

The President will attend a ceremony at the Pentagon Memorial starting at 9:30 a.m.

The 9/11 Memorial in New York will host its annual reading of the names of the victims from 9/11/01. While a number of politicians will be present including New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg attending his final ceremony as mayor and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, none will be making a speech.
