The weather has made commuting even the slightest distances absolutely treacherous this week.

NJ.com reports of an accident involving two young people, one 18-year-old, the other just a teenager, after their car sped out and collided with trees at the center of Route 55.

Emma Snodgrass of Bridgeton was driving when she apparently swerved into the median. Snodgrass lost her life while the 15-year-old was rushed to Cooper Hospital in Camden. The accident occurred in Gloucester County, not too far from the Deptford Mall according to the reported milepost.

No word yet on the exact cause of the accident.
