The Statues of Saints and the oldest and longest-running Italian festival in the entire country are back. Get ready and bring your appetite for the 146th annual Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Festival in Hammonton.

The festival will run from this Thursday, July 15th through Tuesday, July 20th according to the Press of Atlantic City. The Mt. Carmel festival which has been a presence and tradition in Hammonton since 1875 starts this Thursday with rides, live music, entertainment in the beer garden, and of course plenty of tasty Italian specialties.

Some of the delicious Italian food you can sample during the festival includes sausage and peppers, meatballs, broccoli rabe, and of course plenty of mouth-watering pizza.

The festival's biggest night will be on Thursday, July 16th. Feast Day will include Italian and Spanish masses and the procession of the Blessed Virgin of Mount Carmel starting at 4 PM at Third Street and French Street. A fireworks display will wrap up Feast Day starting at 10 PM.

The 2020 version of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Festival was modified and did not include a carnival due to the ongoing concerns of the coronavirus pandemic.

Free shuttle service will be available from the Hammonton Middle School located on Liberty Street from 6 to 10 PM every night of the festival.
