Middle Township Police say a 13-year-old teen girl knifed another teen girl during an assault in the restroom at Memorial Field during Friday's Homecoming football game.

Shore News Today is reporting that police were called to investigate an assault on Pacific Avenue in Cape May Court House during the game.

The investigation has revealed that two girls, a 14 year old from Woodbine and a 13 year old from Wildwood, were involved in a physical confrontation near the Riggins Gas Station in Cape May Court House.

During the fight, the 13 year old injured the 14 year old with a knife. The victim was discovered after the assault in the bathrooms located at Memorial Field. Officers on scene immediately intervened and began investigating the incident."

The victim was transported to Cape Regional Hospital. The suspect was taken in to custody at her home.
