Your Job May Be Making You Fat
Now, around here at SoJO you can find junk food on any given day. And sometimes it's too tempting to resist! From leftover bags of candy, to bagels and donuts, a vending station full of treats, and leftover homemade baked goods from co-workers, its easy to see why CareerBuilder.com recently discovered the workplace could be widening your waste line.
CareerBuilder.com recently revealed findings from a new survey, and the site has discovered that about 44 percent of working Americans have gained nearly 10 extra pounds since taking on their current job. 14 percent of subjects admit to adding 20 pounds to the scale. And it's not just the treats that contribute to our weight increase. Other excuses include sitting for long periods of time, stress, and lunches with clients or co-workers.
