4 Arrested in Violent Home Invasion in Egg Harbor Township
Four men are under arrest after a violent home invasion in the Bargaintown section of Egg Harbor Township.
Wallace McKelvey of The Press of Atlantic City reports that police responded at about 3:16 a.m. Saturday to a house on Steelmanville Road in response to a home invasion robbery call. Three 22-year-old EHT men were in the garage of the home when four masked men confronted them – two were armed.
The victims (Benjamin Hangstorfer, Justin Hennefer and Brian Hentz) told police the men hit them with metal pipes and other objects, robbed them, then fled on foot. Two of the victims were treated at Shore Medical Center for their injuries.
The Press of A.C. explains that a perimeter and search for the suspects did not yield any arrests, but further police investigation led officers to a residence on Jeffers Landing Road in the Scullville section of the township.
The four young men that were arrest range between the ages of 18-20 (Troy Dougherty, Matthew Franks, Edgar Montiel, and Dominic Tarsitano) and are all of Egg Harbor Township.
