Search and rescue teams were back in and above the waters of Ocean City today looking for a teen swimmer who fell off a jetty near 9th St. beach yesterday.

We first told you about the teen who reportedly went missing Sunday in the early evening hours.  Several Good Samaritans were themselves pulled from the water after attempting to rescue the 14-year old boy.

14 people were brought safely back to shore safely, however the boy was not found.

A spokesperson for the Coast Guard tells told 6abc.com that they are currently searching a 50 mile square area off the coast, but that the search is likely to be a recovery effort at this point.

It's most likely that the victim, from Philadelphia, was with a group of people when a rip current swept them into the water.

Authorities say lifeguards were not on duty at the time of the incident.

The Ocean City beach was reopened to swimmers today.
