A driver at the wheel of a tractor trailer lost control of the rig today in Runnemede, taking out nine utility poles and leaving local residents without power.

The crash happened approximately 1:15 p.m. on the Black Horse Pike at E. 9th Ave.  The accident brought down live electrical wires, residents in a four block radius were left without power, according to 6abc.com.  Crews from PSE&G are on the scene attempting to repair the damage and restore power.

The driver of the rig was trapped in his vehicle for a short time, but no injuries have been reported.
