The saying goes 'if you don't having anything nice to say, don't say anything at all'.  But Tori Spelling isn't moved by that sentiment and, in her new book, doesn't hold back trashing Katie Holmes.

In her new memoir Spelling It Like It Is, Tori recounts an encounter with Katie Holmes while they were sharing a vocal coach.  Spelling says she arrived to her session and while in the waiting area heard another woman rehearsing.

"As I sat waiting outside his music room, I heard his prior appointment working with him in the other room. It was some actress singing horribly off-key," Spelling writes. "I heard him say good-bye and then the actress walked out of the room. It was Katie Holmes."

When Holmes appeared Tori says she wasn't sure how to approach the star.

"I didn't know whether we should hug or shake hands. But the signal from her was immediately clear: Don't even come close," Spelling continues. "She was just plastic. I thought, 'I know you're not a robot because you can't sing for s–t.'"

Holmes has yet to comment on or refute Spelling's story.  But Tori Spelling calling Katie Holmes plastic?  That just seems like a classic case of 'pot meet kettle' to me.
