This Toy is ILLEGAL in New Jersey

Did you know that THIS toy, played with by many children, is illegal in New Jersey and having one is actually a FELONY!

The SLING SHOT.

In fact, the slingshot and also the wrist rocket is SO illegal in New Jersey, we can't even post a picture of one.

Believe it or not.

I tried to buy a slingshot at a sporting goods store and couldn't find one. I had to go to the hunting section of the store, and ask the man behind the counter that was filled with guns, knives, crossbows and bow and arrows.

He told me flat out, "Slingshots are illegal in New Jersey...so you better just turn around and walk right out of here, before I call the cops."

Jeesh! It's just a slingshot!

Under New Jersey state law, manufacturing, transporting or possessing a slingshot without "an explainable, lawful purpose" is a fourth degree crime which is punishable by up to 18 months in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
