Teenager Killed, Another Seriously Hurt in Deptford Twp., NJ, Crash

One teenager was killed and another was seriously injured in a crash in Gloucester County Friday night.

The Deptford Township Police Department says the two-vehicle accident happened at the intersection of Hurffville and Deptford Center Roads just after 8:00, a busy intersection between the 42 Freeway and the Deptford Mall area.

Teenager From Washington Twp., NJ, Killed in Crash

Police say a 16-year-old female from Washington Township had succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.

The driver of that vehicle, a 17-year-old man from Gibbstown, was seriously injured and taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

The driver of the other involved vehicle, an unidentified 27-year-old woman from Deptford, was taken to Jefferson Hospital in Washington Township for treatment of her injuries.

Investigation Continues

This accident remains under investigation by the Deptford Township Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit.
