A fast-moving clipper system will produce a quick burst of heavy snow over northwestern New Jersey on Monday, which could lead to some travel troubles.
The northern half of New Jersey faces a foot or more of additional snow accumulation Monday into Tuesday. Wind and coastal flooding will be problems too.
A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for almost the entire state, as bands of heavy snow, sleet, and rain will significantly impact travel through early next week.
Although snow will stick to the cold ground quickly and some icy travel is possible, Monday night’s storm really looks like ‘no big deal’ for New Jersey.
