South Jersey’s ‘Teachers of the Year’
Every year, New Jersey honors one of the many teachers making a difference county by county. Based on feedback from parents, teachers, and administrators, here are South Jersey's nominees for New Jersey Teacher of the Year 2016-2017.
ATLANTIC COUNTY
Gary Jerue - Gary is a 7th-grade math teacher at Richmond Avenue School in Atlantic City.
BURLINGTON COUNTY
Karen Dugan - Karen is a social studies teacher at Burlington City High School.
CAMDEN COUNTY
Julie Wright - Julie is 1st-grade teacher at Gloucester Township Elementary School.
CAPE MAY COUNTY
Mary Elizabeth Libro - Mary Elizabeth is a 3rd-grade teacher at Ocean City Primary School.
CUMBERLAND COUNTY
Terry Kuhnreich - Terry is a social studies teacher at Vineland High School.
GLOUCESTER COUNTY
Jennifer Schoepflin - Jennifer is a 5th-grade teacher at Simmons Elementary School in Clayton.
SALEM COUNTY
Jane Krajewski - Jane is a 4th-grade teacher at Quinton Township School in Quinton Township.
One teacher from one of New Jersey's counties will be chosen this fall and the state winner and will meet the President and be honored at The White House.
