Gunshots rang out in the early morning hours today outside of West Deptford Police station.  A dark-colored sedan reportedly pulled into the parking lot of the nearby W. Deptford Public Library, before someone opened fire on the the municipal building. Now, police need your help finding the person responsible.

The incident took place approximately 4:05 a.m.

A large calibur gun was reported used to unload several bullets which struck the building on Crown Point Rd., 6abc.com reports. The door used by officers travelling to their police vehicles was hit five times. One bullet went through the window of Deputy Chief McKenna's office. A another struck a gutter on the side of the building.

Surveillance video shows the car involved speeding through the parking lot.

Efforts are being made to enhance the images in the hopes of obtaining the license plate number and make and model of the car.

Police have no clue to the motive behind the drive-by shooting.

The local Police Benevolent Association is offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.  If you have any information please call West Deptford Police at 856-853-4599 x164.
