A jet skier is lucky to be alive after getting caught in the Manasquan Inlet early Sunday.

Eyewitness video video shows the jet skier approximately 10 minutes before he got stranded.

According to Newsworks, in a telephone interview, Chief Nick Ameen of the Coast Guard Public Affairs Detachment in Atlantic City, N.J. said the helicopter from Air Station Atlantic City commanded by LCDR Edward Dipierro and co-piloted by LT Richard Bicsak was already in the air on a training mission when rescue swimmer AST3 Billy Arrison spotted a jet ski with no one aboard drifting toward the rocks.
