You have seen the images coming into SoJO 104.9's website depicting the damage that was done over the weekend, confirming that this storm was the "Most Catastrophic Weather Event" in the Mid-Atlantic region since Hurricane Isabel in 2003.

Atlantic City Electric confirms that at the peak of Saturday's storm caused 206,000 customers to be out of power, causing about 60,000 more outages than Hurricane Irene last August.

NBC 40 reports that A.C. Electric line crews have been working around the clock during the initial restoration efforts supported by contract line crews.The company has deployed 740 field resources to work on restoration efforts - this group includes about 466 line contractors from New York and northern New Jersey, 38 contract assessment crews, and 236 tree-trimming personnel.

Atlantic City Electric expects the vast majority of all customers to be restored sometime for their 4th of July. Expect more specific times of restoration as updates become available.
