It’s never easy to report a local homicide, but it’s even more shocking when you report the incident taking place in a town that hardly gets any crime at all……

The worst this town sees is a bike being stolen every now and then.  So you can imagine residents in Riverton being pretty stunned and mortified over a shooting death of a woman.

Update:  The Townsquare News Network has reported that police have identified the body as a 22 year old woman from Youngstown, Ohio.

No arrests have been made. Police continue to investigate

The woman’s body was found ‘on Carriage House Lane between Lippincott and Thomas Avenues in Riverton’

You’re asked to call Burlington County Central Communications at 609-265-7113, if you have any information at all that would further help police with their investigation.
