The good news in the post snowstorm report is that South Jersey escaped the worst, but managed to set a record for snowfall.

According to the National Weather Service, the 2 1/2 inches of snow that was recorded out at Atlantic City International Airport set a record for the earliest amount of snow in a season (November 7th).

The Press of Atlantic City reported this Thursday morning that some 7,700 Atlantic City Electric customers are without power because of the snowstorm (with more than 5,000 of these outages in Atlantic County).

The heaviest of the snow made its way into Monmouth County, where amounts in areas like Freehold (Springsteen's home town) saw as much as 7 inches of wet snow.

What's next for South Jersey?  Spring-like weather with temps in the mid-60s for the weekend (and we deserve that!)
