Quite honestly, I'm not surprised by this recognition at all.

For the past ten years, Hammonton has been focused on revitalizing their downtown area.  They've made that loud and clear with the emergence of new and local businesses such as shops and restaurants, as well as a focus on the arts. Every time I drive through there, I feel like I'm home.  It's for that reason, that Hammonton will be recognized for it's continued success.

The New Jersey Chapter of the American Planning Association named downtown Hammonton a "Great Place" in New Jersey for 2014.  According to the Press of Atlantic City, Hammonton also shares the honor Atlantic Highlands in Monmouth County, Haddonfield in Camden County, and Summit in Union County.

An award ceremony will be held October 16th at 11:00AM at Hammonton Town Hall.
