Local Police Officer Escapes Patrol Car Fire

A South Jersey police officer on duty got the surprise of his life when his patrol car caught fire!

Hamilton Township Police say that the officer had stopped  'at the light at the Black Horse Pike and Nicholson Avenue in Haddon Township around 1 a.m. Tuesday when he noticed smoke in the car.' (NBC 10)

The officer managed to get our of the vehicle before it engulfed in flames, and he escaped without injury.  There is no word yet as to what caused the fire.
