UPDATE: Lady Gaga Injured, Cancels Remainder of Tour!
UPDATE: I posted earlier this morning Lady Gaga has cancelled four shows.. Unfortunately, Live Nation Global Touring confirmed that the remaining dates of the “Born This Way Ball” are in fact cancelled and Gaga will need surgery after a hip injury.
A statement on Lady Gaga’s website reads, “After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip. She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal. Refunds for the cancelled performances will be available at point of purchase starting Feb 14, 2013.
ORIGINAL STORY: Sorry Little Monsters, Lady Gaga has canceled four of her upcoming tour dates for now and possibly more to be announced. Lady Gaga canceled her Feb. 13 and 14 shows in Chicago, Feb. 16 show in Detroit, and Feb. 17 show in Hamilton, Ontario. Gaga used her Twitter account to break the news. She blamed the cancellations on “synovitis (severe inflammation of joints)” and letting her fans know, “I hope you can forgive me, as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself.” Right now there has been no mention of the status of her Feb. 19th or 20th shows in Philadelphia.
