Ten people are without a home after a fire broke out last night; but it was the heroic acts of a nearby neighbor that kept them alive.

Alphonso Wilkins of MIllville was walking on Cedar Street, and noticed the flames from the back of the house.  He immediately tried to notify the residents, who had no idea their house was on fire.

Here’s video footage of the incident, courtesy of NBC 40:

Our hero may not want any recognition, but when you make quick decisions that save lives, being recognized is inevitable.
